Dial ATT with 611 or 800-331-0500 and ask for Loyalty Department. Tell them you want an iPhone 8 and its $250 the last few days. Other models are also available, but this seems the best. Dont need to add a new line. But there is a 2 year contract you have to agree to. ETF is $325 with $10 credit each month.

This deal works for all iPhones and Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+. The price will vary. You have the sign a 2 year commitment, and you pay taxes on the full/original amount of the phone (e.g. will pay taxes on $1000 for iPhone X).

Called "Termination/Retention" this afternoon - they immediately said they could offer me iPhone 8 in any color for $250 with 2yr commit. I bought two with no activation/upgrade fees and have priority shipping coming to my house for a total of $608.48 to Southern California with taxes and fees.
I pay for a 20gb family share plan (that has been grandfathered to 30gb promotion from a couple years back slickdeal)

iPhone 8 256gb was offered at $399, but I wasn't ready to double dip at that price point and figure I have another new phone in 2 yrs again anyways.

Don't do this!! I was lied to by Shaun in the loyalty department after a 30 minute phone call and told I could do this in person at the store and he would make notes in my account so it would go smoothly. After being 7th in line and spending the only spare 20 minutes I had that day waiting at the Arden Fair store in Sacramento, Koa told me that don't do that and the only notation in my account was that I wanted to buy a subsidized phone. He refused to call the loyalty department and said this happens all the time. I called back that evening and the person I spoke to said that if I were to do the deal that Shaun offered my monthly access fees would increase from $20 to $40 effectively making the phone more expensive than if I bought it out right!

Called 611, asked to be transferred to Loyalty. Sales rep tried to help but could not replicate pricing. Finally was transferred and assisted by the right department. Total price for iPhone 8 64gb Space Gray was $249.99 + $50.75 (Tax). Received 2 Business Day shipping and waived activation and upgrade fee. Thank OP!

Did you ask for loyalty Dept? Call back u will get some else. Did it twice and even referred a couple of friends for the deal. Got 8 phones updated.
Just ask them the cost of an iPhone 8 which is $450 off original price.
