Instabuy! I was planning on picking this up at Best Buy on Monday so I didn't have to wait for shipping but I can't pass up saving $44! Thx OP

I already have a Vive but it's a pain to set up everytime I wanna play. Not sure I'll keep OGO though because I have wide IPD.

It probably (mainly) depends on how many games you expect to download. I don't have first hand experience with it yet (it's in the mail), but the reports say that games will run 500MB - 5GB in size. Between that, and the storage consumed by the OS itself, that could eat through 32GB pretty quickly. Being Android, the traditional video apps etc shouldn't have an issue with the smaller size.

Yea. I was just reading the same thing before pulling the trigger on the 64GB.

Considering this just came out this seems like a no-brainer. I almost pulled the trigger at full retail the second I saw these things come out. Now I can't help myself.

Got one for myself at full price, had a day to mess with it & it is pretty cool w/ even more potential as apps get released & improved. Getting one for my wife at this price.

I was really excited about this and anxiously awaited its arrival, but now I'm not sure... I'm not a gamer, but I was thinking I'd still enjoy VR more with more range of motion. Any thoughts on whether the limits of Oculus Go are worth it over the new Daydream or any other standalones coming out?

This is a great deal. I really want to wait for reviews on the Mirage Solo which comes out today. The Solo is $400 but with 64 gb, 6 degrees of motion, a nicer/comfortable looking headset, and a slightly better processor than the Go. I still think it would need a quick price drop to compete with the Oculus Go and I'm not sure when that will happen. Gonna jump on this, $170 after taxes is too slick.

That's a tough question to answer. Based on what I've read, the three degrees of freedom is a limiting issue with this device. I ultimately decided to jump on the deal sight unseen because the eBay ad specified free 30 day returns. At this price, it might be worth grabbing one now, along with a preview model someplace local, and then if you hate it, return them both.

For non gamers this 3DoF is fine. (And even for gamers there are plenty of good games that are sit down and play). The Go has the entire catalog of games and apps from the GearVR app ecosystem which these other solutions won't have. So, essentially you're buying a device for the app ecosystem in place.

Good deal. Do note that this is 3 degree vs 6 degree for the rift, vive, and wmr. Meaning there is no hand or body tracking. This is more comparable to the gear vr (or google daydream) than full vr on computers. This does have higher res than original rift so it might be good for watching movies and such.
