Hand Tool brand recommendations

Just a question to all.

What other brands of hand tools would you buy besides Craftsman that is inexpensive, has a lifetime that does not require a receipt, and is acceptable quality (occasional use)?

Ridgid (Home Depot) has one of the best warranties I've used. Do you have any battery tools already, or starting from scratch? It's always good to look through the lineup to see what tools are available to make sure they have what you need.

If it's just regular homeowner type stuff, Ryobi might be your best bet.

I recently decided to go with the Ryobi One+ system. I don't build anything, so I'm just using their drills, blowers, stuff like that. I'm happy with the performance and battery life so far. This is just for occasional home use.

Build a time machine, go back in time when they made high quality tools, stock up and delete this thread.

If I had a time machine, worrying about which inexpensive hand tools would be my personal mechanic's job while he maintains my vast collection of rare and expensive cars. Because I would be a multi-trillionaire.

How would a lifetime warranty work on a time machine? If you went back in time to before it was invented and it broke while you were there it wouldn't technically be in its lifetime so would the warranty still be good? And who would be available to do the warranty work?

Come to think of it that would have been a good subplot for Back To The Future. Scratchchin

I have ryobi one also and highly recommend it. I have the circular saw, drill, flashlight, buffer, grinder, nail gun, weed walker and other ones. No complaints with any of them.

Lowe's Kobalt hand tools are good enough for homeowners.

Harbor Freight hand tools are also quite good too, they've never given me any problems.

All of them have lifetime warranties.

Since time isn't really linear (just our perception of it), I guess it wouldn't matter.

But side question... if time were linear, and you could go as far forward or back as you wanted, BUT only go one direction (not counting returning to the present).. would you rather see the past or the future?

Maybe I'm checking in too late, but where is the link for this time machine? Good reviews?
