Could they make it anymore confusing. Plus all these places trying to get you wrapped up with their bullshit credit cards.

I've bought tires from Costco, and I recently bought tires from DT during their Presidents' Day promotion.

My local DT store price matched Amazon's price on the same tires (huge savings), and then ordered the tires for me prior to the rebate dates and set them aside with my name on them. I picked them up during the rebate dates and had them installed. I didn't buy the "protection plan". A couple of months later, I hit a piece of metal in the roadway which sliced my sidewall. I called the DT store and talked with the manager who ordered in a new tire and they replaced the damaged one for free.

Online rebate submission was a breeze, and the payment was received very quickly. Probably 3 - 4 weeks IIRC. Definitely not the usual 10 -12 weeks like most rebates.

My local Costco seems to treat customers like cattle, in-and-out, so I'm not so sure I would have received the same excellent treatment as I did with DT.

DT has given me the impression that they appreciate my business and want me to come back, which I definitely will if they remain competitive.

Just my .02 cents and YMMV at your location.

They are a really good company. I got new tires for my wife's SUV last year from them and new tires for my car this year. Great service!

Anyone have experience with this company vs Costco? I need tires and thing Costco may be the best option with the Costco deals.

Basically $200 off four 'best' rated tires at regular prices. The Costco deal with $75 off four Michelins and free install was better. To match Costco you have to add install cost and road hazard cost that Discount Tires charges.

Is the deal just mediocre because it isn't a major holiday like 4th of July?

it seems like costco is always significantly more expensive from what I have seen.

In the market for tires. Do I buy now or will there be a better sale coming up? Not a Costco member unfortunately, none near me.

Has anyone bought multiple sets of tires in the same sale and gotten 2 rounds of rebates? Is there a limit?
