I hear that loud and clear, that's why $17 is "expensive" to me for a game when my backlog is so loaded, this isn't a must-have/must-play/must-buy game for me, so I can wait till it hits that sweet $5 price point that Injustice 1 does all the time. I'm in no rush. There are very few games that warrant more than a ~$10 investment with my backlog the way it is. I wish more people would adopt that mentality, and especially stop pre-ordering games that end up being complete turd bombs on release.

Steam doesn't even sell the Ultimate Edition anymore. Just base game and Legendary Edition.

Well said. Buy only ultimate, goty, edition games at sub $10. Don't need games day one with such backlog. Been there done that.
