We dumped all our old pressure cookers after buying two instant pots (3qt & 6qt)
Absolutely doesn't make sense to buy this when u can get instant pot for about same price !!!!!
LOL you know nothing John Snow... I'm just a house cook but I prefer to use these over instapot, not that I don't use the instapot, I use it occasionally.

It really depends on what ur cooking, plus I prefer to use gas burner over electric, I taste as I go along, im hands on and adjust accordingly. Gas is more energy efficient than electric as well. Even if I didn't have a nice gas stove I'd still pick gas over insta pot.
I prefer my stove top pressure cooker over the electric. Main reason is that I have higher psi in my stove top than is currently available in electronic pressure cookers so I finish faster or not calculating extra time when using my mom's recipes. I can release pressure faster by running cold water over the lid (I always forget one ingredient and have to reopen as soon as I achieve pressure or something smells so good and I'm so hungry I need to dig in right away). The stove top can be used as a regular pot. I can store it easier by throwing in the pantry because I have limited counter space instead of clearing space (not as concerned if it topples over).
I also have a gas stove and can control the heat better.

Thanks! and repped. I had already thought of some of your reasons, and wound up getting one from this sale.
Little tricks for using these on electric stoves. Unlike with gas electric coils do not cool immediately so either turn on two burners - one high, one low, put to pressure on high and then move to low one, or if using only one - put to pressure on medium heat and then switch to low.
Turning from high to low on electric burner will lead to overcooking.
