I just picked up two Linksys AC1900 24x8 Wi-Fi Gateway (Cable Modem & Router - CG7500) for $30 each.
Important:
This is not getting cleared out widely so your chances of getting one is pretty high. I found usually 1 store in an area has this low price, other have it at varying level. Some are $60, some are $50 some are $30 ... but most of them are still $99. So good luck.
If you find that you don't have any location that is clearing them out, try your neighboring area
I was holding out until the docsis 3.1 come down in price. But my old C6300 fried this morning. I hadn't seen this post, but went to Wally world and they had one of these routers marked $99 on the clearance table. I checked it with my phone and it showed $49. Nice find OP!
Usual YMMV for WM clearance. Most of my local stores show $49, one still shows $99. Check BS link for stock in your local area. Recent reviews at Amazon are all over the place, from great to horrendous. Maybe a firmware issue?

I expected that most negative reviews would relate to the fact that this device uses the defective Intel Puma 6 chipset[badmodems.com] but most of the 1-star reviews are for other issues.
Combination modem/router devices are not often recommended because the firmware is completely controlled by your ISP. You won't be able to update it yourself to fix security issues, you're dependent on your ISP. $49 is a great price for the features that this provides if you can overlook any latency issues due to the chipset and other downsides of a combo device.

Nothing worse than a POS modem/Router combo. it's probably 2nd worst thing next to Traffic jams.
