Rebate offer valid on purchases made from 5/25/18 through 5/31/18 or while supplies last. Must be postmarked within 30 days of purchase (see rebate form) ~RevOne
$30 off with promo code 522MDSD22 and $20 MIR. $259AI. Not bad for a decent 8GB card. On par with the 1060 6GB overall. A tad slower in DX11, a bit faster in DX12.
Easy, after purchasing it take it down to a local pc shop. They will assist you in getting rid of your mac and adding the card to a pc.
You are funny! As if having a Mac os will gives you super creative powers or activates your inner creative abilities
Astric wants to know if it'll go in a Mac. He didn't come here to be lectured by PC nerds about why he should ditch Mac OS. This is coming from a guy that owns 3 Windows Gaming PCs, builds and maintains Windows PCs at work and frequents #PCMasterrace. When you make your living with a computer, you use the OS that the business wants you to. You use the OS that software you're using was written for. You use the OS that you're used to and comfortable with. If he's unhappy with the performance or capabilities of Mac OS, he'll go look for help with that somewhere else. Here he just wants to know if this will work. And yes, it should fit quite nicely and work well in the old Mac Tower PCs.
But while I'm at it, because you PC Snobs got my dander up, how many of you have an 8-year old tower you still consider upgrading? I know that to you it's totally foreign that a computer could continue to be useful and get OS updates from windows 8 years later for professional use, but y'know what, that's not unusual for Macs.
Wife has a 2010 13" MacBook Pro with a Core 2 Duo that runs a heck of a lot better than my 2013 Dell Crapbook with an i7 despite the Dell having drastically better specs on Paper. Ya, I've tried a fresh windows install, the Dell is still unusable in windows and has become a dual-boot Linux machine that virtually never boots into windows due to Windows being craptastic. The MacBook is still a reliable and my wife's primary use computer that runs everything it did when it was new—just needed an SSD upgrade and a little more RAM to help it along a few years ago.
So go ahead and 'unhelpful' the crap outta this it's worth writing anyway. Astric, enjoy your Mac and don't let the Windows Neckbeards get you down. Some windows users are reasonable.

This has been there a day or so. Seems like a decent card, but from reviews has a fairly high failure rate. Lots of reports of failures and you have to pay for shipping on warranty.
No, I have the aluminum tower. It's aging at about 8 years now.
Are you using OS 10.12.6 or newer?
RX580 is a fine choice.
Sapphire cards work great out the box, this should be similar. The Drivers are already in the OS
I think in 10.13.4 support was expanded to correctly recognize more models btw

Are you talking about using a EGPU? The new razer core x is the easiest one now

Sounds like quite the agency there. I smash out 36mp 200 image startrail stacks on an android phone, you need a mac to be pretentious.
