Costco members can buy the 50" Hisense R7 full array backlit 4K television, comparable to the TCL S405 and Vizio E series, on sale for just $299.
Please note that while it is listed (like its direct competitors) as a refresh of 120, and with HDR, it is a NATIVE true 60 hz panel, and the 8 bit HDR - meaning it is the far less effective "light" version that does very little.
It is also a full array backlit set, like the competitive Vizio and unlike the edge lit setup of most other TV's. While no official information is provided, a Hisense representative told he that it should be 16 zones.
I've seen the set in store, and looks practically spot on with the S4 series of TCL, and actually better than Samsung's new 7 series, which also by rtings.com is worse than last years 6 series. By the in store eye test, I agree with that (both set on Dynamic mode)
