I have this Generator and it have been great. If you don't know about inverter generators they are quieter, more efficient, and deliver a "cleaner" power than your standard generator. I also have a conventional generator that a few of my appliances will not run off of because the power it generates isn't a consistent 60hz like line power it.
Any time this generator is on sale for less than $400 it is a deal IMO
$389.99 and free shipping for Prime members, if you don't have Prime then it is $5 for shipping from woot.com

I had it outside and it was super windy. I had my CO detector about a ft away from the exhaust, and it went to full alert (999 ppm) within 30 seconds. From 2 to 3 ft away, it's still around 500+ ppm. That is way dangerous. Even at 7 to 8 ft away outdoors in windy conditions, the CO detector would sometimes detect CO and register up to 100 ppm. From the 2 ft away in the front, though, it wouldn't register anything above 35 ppm, which is my CO detector's lower limit. Although, it's hard to say whether there's unsafe levels of CO. Even 20 ppm isn't good for you. From the sides, I didn't get anything to register. I'm gonna try testing it again on a calm day. But, if you run one of these, get it FAR away from the house or your tent. They did CO studies on these things, and they recommend at least 25' away from the house. CO can seep into windows, vents, and especially air conditioning units and build up in the home. Get a CO detector and NOT an alarm. Alarms only register dangerous levels of CO. A detector will begin to register around 35 ppm and higher depending on the make/model. After doing these tests yesterday, my thoughts are to return it and just go solar.

1600 continius watts.
Internet says: "The little known secret is that any brand inverter generator that is parallel capable can be paralleled with any other brand. Honda, Yamaha, WEN, Smarter Tools, Etc."

I'm tempted by these inverter models, I'm just not sure if it would make sense to get a bigger model or not.

The Predator is 70dB according to doc. Although I'm not sure I believe that because it sounds to me almost as noisy as my mower. But 19dB is quite a difference in noise level. 4x as loud.

So I have this inverter to run a few of the sensitive electronics and use the big generator to power the panel for running lights, furnace(gas) , etc... I ran this inverter generator @ 4:30am once on eco mode I couldn't even here it from in the house. When you need a bit more power and turn ECO mode off the RPMS raise and you can here it from inside, but I highly double my neighbors could.
So in your situation it comes down to what, and how many items you want to run at once. This gen does 1600watts continuous. The 2000 watt rating is for what they call surge. Basically it can product 2000 watts, but only momentarily.
Google generator calculator and you can get an estimate of your needs.

When you turn eco mode off it gets a bit louder. Probably almost as loud as a modern push mower.
so what's the run time on 500 watt eco mode, can it make it overnight without attention?
