FYI 6 months service to request unlock per policy.

That $45 card is valid for 3 months.

It seems possible to activate the account and phone and then not load up.
Wait 6 months and request the unlock?

Can we use it as postpaid phone and not activate it on prepaid? so you don't have to pay prepaid monthly charges?

It should work on post paid account too. But I remember few comments on other threads that their accounts got suspended after using on post paid and they had to call customer care to get it active again. Also $45 account credit may not apply to postpaid account.

T&C states: Account will be canceled unless you add money within 26 days of activation.

But you may use it on pay as you go plan for 6 months and request unlock.

Why not add the $45 from that card bundled with the phone or does that not count?

$45 will be credited automatically after activation. I think it should count, but it may still have an expiration date. So you need refill before it expires to keep the pay as you go line active.

There has been a number of iPhone SE deals lately. It must be to make room for the forthcoming SE 2.

I'd imagine SEs will continue to slowly get cheaper as we get closer to September

Not really a good deal until someone confirms that you can get $45 credit on your postpaid account. Why must everything be so complicated. Lol just make it $99 across the board at all carriers and get them sold out already
highly doubt that $45 will be for postpaid...
