but the warranty alone is alone worth the extra $5, 3 years in crucial vs 1 year in HP

They should both fit as long as your laptop takes SATA. Pro version is definitely better (performance). Since they are only couple dollars difference, I would recommend Pro.

You can also pay a bit more for Samsung EVO
