Right in between 6 cubic feet and 8 cubic feet freezer in size, or about 200 liters, just to give you something to compare it to.
Or if that isn't relatable, the average 200lb slickdealer has about 3.5 cubic feet of volume, so if you were to grind a couple of us up, you'd be able to fit two in there and just barely be able to close the lid sitting on it. If just quartering, because of wasted space, really probably only fit one of us. How many bodies are you looking to store?
Yes I do. Consumer Reports gave this freezer a score of 82 (which falls into the "Excellent" rating range) and a rated it a "best buy". All the others that were higher rated were more expensive.

There about the same. Obviously Costco is better for the warranty. You're definitely not going to get it cheaper than this. MAYBE on black friday, but for a few bucks and less hassle this price is a no brainer if you need a freezer.
It's also note worthy that this has insane amount of reviews on best buy.
They're not "about the same" at all. The HiSense is a MUCH better unit for $20 more and has these advantages over the Insignia:
* 3 year warranty (Insignia has 1yr)
* Energy star rated (EnergyGuide rating $27 vs $30 (Insignia is not EnergyStar rated))
* Has two baskets (Insignia has 1)
* Has caster wheels underneath
* Has variable temperature control (Insignia only has Min, Max, Off)
** Variable temp control goes from 9F-48F which means this can be used like a refrigerator, the Insignia can not.
Size is about the same, but the HiSense is slightly less wide if wall space is tight:
35"W x 22"D x 33.3"H vs 37.20"W x 20.59"D x 33.46"H

I take it they both Chinese? So the question is which Chinese factory has better quality control? Anyway I got the insignia one, best buy is closer to my house than costco. Easy to haul for return or replacement if need to.
Thank you! That's what I always wonder, how much would this take to run per year in a hot garage, where it would have to work much harder compared to the delta in say your kitchen or other conditioned space. It says $30 a year, but that seems unlikely.
I'm a single guy, and trying to justify why I don't need this, lmao! I could stock up on frozen food at Costco, and minimize my interaction with humans as much as possible. Hmmm...
Consumer reports said the energy cost was $32/year. Most of the other top rated ones had similar or higher energy costs with the range of the top rated ones being $28 to $45.

Thanks, I'm going to check mine out. Never saw deep freezers for sale at Costco, but read up on an old thread from nearly 2 years ago and it had great info... including a link to a youtube video for how to organize your deep freezer.
