When I was 17, I graduated a year early from HS and moved myself from UT to RI. I stopped in RI only cause I hit water, I would have gone much further Smilie After my dad died a couple years later (economy had also turned bad in RI) I decided to go back to help out. There were lots of young kids still at home, youngest was 8. I ended up staying here, even after stopping contact with them. I am just the black sheep, I dont fit in with that culture and the expectations that go along with it. Its still a great place to live all around and raise kids. You just have to understand its not a sampling of the rest of the world and make sure you visit outside often to keep that perspective. Then its all good Smilie

I just like to make everything fresh and from scratch. One of my friends tells me I was born in the wrong era, I belong back in the '50s. I have the marilyn monroe curvy figure, the little "beauty mark" by my lips even, and have the old fashioned parts to me like the homemade cooking. I dont think the '50s men could have handled the independent parts though!

Thing is, if you make from scratch you can control not only the flavors but also the amounts of oils and preservatives you put in things and it actually makes quite a big difference. Im going to try the vegetarian ones also, cause I dont like meat.Im going to try it with some tofu, onions, cabbage, black chinese mushrooms....should be yummy! Kids are carnivores though Smilie

I was a hot mess last night. Kept my clothing on though. Didn't do anything that I'd be embarrassed to tell Mom about. though, kind of odd, I saw this one guy that works for a unit of govt here in probation. We have common friends, but have never hung out. I know who he is, to see him, but that's it. I do know of his reputation. He's like a boy me. I saw him last week at lunch, then yesterday. I wonder if the universe is trying to get me to hook up with him. If/when I see him again, next time I think I am going for it with him. I bet he and I could have some good times Evillaugh

Ive given it a try, just to say I have. Its rather disgusting though! The only thing that lives in it is brine shrimp, its really stinky! You just kind of bob in the water, you really cant sink just like they say! They have little showers out there to wash off the salt water, its a nasty feeling on the skin! Fun to say you did but once is enough!

This whole huge valley used to be part of an ancient salt water lake. You can still find shells up in the mountains. As all the water evaporated, the only little "puddle" left is the great salt lake. The water has condensed down so it has huge levels of salt in it. There are miles and miles of pure white salt flats to the side of the lake. Morton salt has a factory here, and they also have the speed racers that come out to race on the salt flats. They are a perfectly smooth white surface that goes for miles, perfect for those high speeds (300+ miles per hour) With the high concentration of salt, you cannot sink but at the same time nothing can survive in it. Only thing is the tiny brine shrimp they sell to feed aquarium fish.
