The 720 15" deal needs to come back. I believe it was the 4k model 16gb ram 1tb ssd for $1000 mark

Only one time that price was there and I was the one to post it. Normal price is around $1200. However, this deal is better for the battery life an portability because now they're using 15W i5-8250U. 720S with i7-7700HQ (45W TDP) is a beast but the battery life is not its strong suit...I own that model

I also picked up that Yoga 720 from that last deal. Getting another $100 off from another deal site really sweetened the pot. This Yoga 730 does have its upsides over the 720 though, like lower power consumption as you mentioned. The battery is smaller though.

More VRAM - Don't understand why they shortchanged the 720 with only 2GB
Higher max RAM capacity - I believe the 720 already maxes out its capacity at 16GB
Higher bandwidth Thunderbolt port - 4x vs the 720's 2x, another shortchange I don't understand
Thinner and lighter - It is considerably leaner than the porkier 720
HDMI port - Though from what I gather it is still V1.4 so no 4k/60 over HDMI. Still need a USB-C dongle if you want to do that.

Yes, it can handle that. Also, because of the 2-in-1 design and support for Active Pen, you can use that for Note taking, drawing etc. Lenovo Active Pen with 2048 level of sensitivity is pretty cheap, you can grab one a Amazon at below $30.
