LOL, you get AMD laptops for repair because before AMD Ryzen, AMD CPU's are put on cheap $300 laptops so those laptops are shitty and they break, either shitty CPU fan or motherboard. It has nothing to do with the CPU.

comparing a 13.3 to a 15.6. Don 't most pick what they want starting with screen size?

Any thoughts on how this compares to my i7-7500u Inspiron 5378? It seems almost identical save for the CPU and USB C input. Is the screen brightness as bad as the 5378? I can't find a site that lists the nits of the screen. How hot would it get with light gaming? Mine hits 90C when playing Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 even after having the cooling fixed.

Edit: And why does the Vega 8 seem to get better performance than Vega 10?

If you swap out the HDD for a SSD, then yours would be better.

Dells come with a 1 year warranty (as do most laptops these days). Make sure to get the extended as you will likely need it.

How does this compare to this Acer Swift?

https://slickdeals.net/f/11773239-acer-swift-3-sf314-52-sf314-52-517z-14-core-i5-8250u-8gb-ddr4-256gb-ssd-windows-10-home-1920-x-1080-ips-sparkly-silver-ultrabook-599?src=catpagev2

I'm looking for a 14", good battery life, relatively lightweight. Will be using for some light video and photo edits, web browsing, watching videos and Microsoft. TIA
