So why would anyone buy this vs the micron 2tb for a little more
Warranty is a lot better than the micron one. I believe the 2 tb micron is OEM part, and warranty is a bit tricky
It's not tricky, it was confirmed by their rep in another thread, there is no warranty. The seller, Platinum Micro, is just simply playing a shady game by claiming drives come with 3 year warranty.
