Get Harbor Freight coupons
Deal Details

About half a year ago Harbor Freight recalled their trailer tires and stopped selling all their trailers.
There are practically no trailers that come anywhere close to even the full price of the Harbor Freight trailers anywhere I looked.
I've even seen old Harbor Freight trailers on Craigslist selling for the full retail price during this period.
I ended up getting a different smaller trailer on Craigslist that I had to completely rebuild for about the price of these a few months ago.
Coupons for these trailers may be coming eventually.
Northern Tool also had a folding trailer that was taken off the shelf that has returned. They may have had more that I just didn't notice.
1090 lbs. Capacity 40-1/2 in x 48 in Utility Trailer [harborfreight.com] - $290
1195 lbs. Capacity 48 in. x 96 in. Heavy Duty Folding Trailer [harborfreight.com] - $350
1720 lbs. Capacity 48 in. x 96 in. Super Duty Folding Trailer [harborfreight.com] - $450
Ironton 4ft. x 8ft. Folding Utility Trailer Kit — 1170-Lb. Load Capacity [northerntool.com] - $450
(Slickdeals only let me select the images of the Northern Tool trailer for the post)

Sold so much stuff on CL (over 100 things), never once met anyone even kinda shady.
Does it happen? Sure, extremely rarely. People get mugged and assulted walking down streets too. Nobodies going to want to jump through all the necessary hoops to cover their digital tracks when they contact you on CL so they dont get caught when they rob you of whatever random item you had for sale. Way easier to just mug some random person on the street, they probably have more cash on them then your item was worth and they don't even have to bother selling it. Then the few people who are stupid enough not to cover their tracks just get caught relatively easily.
Maybe if your selling a really expensive item (couple hundred dollar+ cell phone), a criminal might find jumping through the hoops worth it or you might be targetted by one of the dumb ones. But then, just take a precaution or two, meet in a public place and you're fine.
Really, this is a mess. You list an item and people just keep trying to lowball you, or you keep reducing your price in future listings.
Ebay works better as an "English Auction"
What would work even better is if someone came up with an auction site that allowed a "Vickrey Auction". This is how Google sells adwords and how a lot of modern transactions work.
Using an inadvertent and informal Dutch auction is an absolute mess.

Has anyone replaced the wheel bearings in these with something found locally?
I've also hauled my motorcycle, riding mowers, landscaping materials, lumber, etc. and probably put 5k-8k miles on it mostly at 75mph. It's been great.
I ended up ordering a Maine plate online without messing with titling (I just kept the original title signed) and saved quite a bit of money and never had any issue.
Can you provide more details on the recall? I've had mine for 10yrs.

Thanks. Got a new pair today. Was concerned with the old one because it was cracking from years outdoors.
I go up to 65mph with the smallest HF trailer with 12" tires.
Any reason to get the northern tool trailer over the HF trailer? They look the same besides $100 difference.
