About half a year ago Harbor Freight recalled their trailer tires and stopped selling all their trailers.
There are practically no trailers that come anywhere close to even the full price of the Harbor Freight trailers anywhere I looked.
I've even seen old Harbor Freight trailers on Craigslist selling for the full retail price during this period.

I ended up getting a different smaller trailer on Craigslist that I had to completely rebuild for about the price of these a few months ago.

Coupons for these trailers may be coming eventually.

Northern Tool also had a folding trailer that was taken off the shelf that has returned. They may have had more that I just didn't notice.

1090 lbs. Capacity 40-1/2 in x 48 in Utility Trailer [harborfreight.com] - $290

1195 lbs. Capacity 48 in. x 96 in. Heavy Duty Folding Trailer [harborfreight.com] - $350

1720 lbs. Capacity 48 in. x 96 in. Super Duty Folding Trailer [harborfreight.com] - $450

Ironton 4ft. x 8ft. Folding Utility Trailer Kit — 1170-Lb. Load Capacity [northerntool.com] - $450

(Slickdeals only let me select the images of the Northern Tool trailer for the post)

I have a sedan and its towing capacity is 2000 lbs. I am going to install a trailer hitch.

Is it OK if I hook up this trailer with my sedan? I will only carry some wood or big items from a home depot near by.

I have. I had a 08 Altima and this trailer worked great with it and exactly what you're looking to use it for

Has anyone tried the Ironton 37552 from Northern Tool? This is the trailer HF compares its 1,700 lb trailer with.

It looks like it is a 5 x 8 trailer and is $100 more, but if I dont need to repack\replace the bearings it might be a better overall deal.

that trailer has two side pieces that are 8 feet long. Also it comes with title so it does not have to inspected

Where do you see about the title? Also, a trailer this small doesn't need to be inspected in my state unless you built it yourself. Since these come with MCO I don't have a problem. Title would be better insurance though.

Also, the one you mentioned does not fold based on the pictures. I need the folding feature to put it away when I'm not using it.

I called a HF over the weekend and guy said they'd probably have them in stock in 2-4 weeks. (He just had a hunch). Called a different HF today and just got a no. Asked if she knew when they would come and she just said no again. She was a b!+ch. I'll prolly have to just spend the extra $100 and get the Northern Tool one for $450 as I'm really needing it right now

Can you provide more details on the recall? I've had mine for 10yrs.
The older trailers were not subject to the tire recall. Not sure what year the crap tires started, but I've had mine for 8 years and it didn't come with the faulty tires.

There is another recall that you might be able to use though: My 8 year old trailer was subject to the light recall. You should be able to fill out the recall form and get new LED lights sent to you to replace the old incandescent lights that needed very solid grounding to work and were not actually DOT approved.

Here is the form for the light recall:

this may sound like a stupid question, but how do you park with a 4x8 trailer at the home depot store parking lot? Do you simply park across two spots, or you park as usual, except you back it up?

I've seen people just pull up into the head-on space and take up two spaces. I don't think people will care as long was you park as far away as possible from other people.

Both ways, depending on the car length, or you drop the trailer in one spot and park in another. It's a home depot, people expect and are used to trailers.

Be VERY wary of the 55mph wheel ratings.
you should also be wary that the speed limit while towing something is 55mph anyway if you're in ca. Not sure about other states.

Maximum Speed Limit
The maximum speed limit on most California highways is 65 mph. You may drive 70 mph where posted. Unless otherwise posted, the maximum speed limit is 55 mph on a two-lane undivided highway and for vehicles towing trailers.

That's because Governor Moonbeam runs the place.
