can't believe an (farily recent) i5 is slower than an i3, they really did some nice upgrades in the latest gen... heck, it's even faster than my i5-7400
Ryzen force their hand. They would be left in the dust otherwise.
I think this is a pretty good deal. I paid $300 for an i5 4460 Dell with 8gb of RAM 2 years ago and that was a steal. This is a faster computer for $30 more.
With my Samsung Evo 850 I'm booting to desktop in 11 seconds and have a workable browser in less than 20. Dunno what else I could ask for.

I know the question is coming so might as well asnswer. The highest GPU you can probably add is a 1060 gtx but don't be surprised if it just hard reboot in high demand game.

What psu is in this machine?
Never mind I see it... 1060 is pushing it though? Maybe a 1050ti?
I'm putting together a mini PC for my mom using the ASRock DeskMini 110 as the enclosure. It's a great size, but I'm using the Intel G4560 a good bang for buck, but obivously isn't at good as what you're getting here.
The reason I wanted to put this together is because I had a spare 1TB HGST Notebook HDD (from PS4 PRO, which I replaced with a 7200 RPM drive) and 256 SSD that I was no longer using due to upgrades to my main PC.
So I just had to pay for the Desk Mini 110 ($110), 8GB of DDR4 RAM ($70), and Intel Processor ($65)
So all came out to ~$245. Still hoping that buying cheap windows 10 keys off reddit will work, lol...
Still every time I see a deal like this ... it hurts. If this desktop is small enough, I think would have just got this so I wouldn't need to build a PC.

The power requirement can be significantly reduced by using MSI Afterburner to reduce the Power Limit % [easy] and/or reduce CPU/Memory Voltage [more advanced]. Of course, doing this too much will result in a 1060 that performs like a 1050Ti/1050. Then just run some intense benchmarks to ensure everything works under load.
Another help is to remove that slow, loud 1 TB hard drive that uses up to 25W. Place in an external enclosure for when you need it, keeping it disconnected or setting it to spin down; or use an enclosure with supplemental DC power so as not to take it from your power supply.

Do NOT buy from reddit. I ordered one and never came. They kept saying "Oh well I sent it, not my problem" so then I went to scdkeys.com. You can buy a license for $14. $26 cheaper and more legit
