Either way, I think both serve different needs and housing setups. They'll save people money vs. just having a set thermostat. Most also observe not a large decrease in monthly bill if they are already actively managing their thermostat vs programming or manually shutting off and on.

Last month, I got a third gen Nest for $99 each and it came with a free Home Mini.
So I bought two Nests and got two Minis for $230ish after tax and free shipping.
Otherwise, this seems like basically the same deal, price-wise, just no free Mini
