Ssds finally going down in price, gpus are going on sale again, competition is back on the cpu side of things, all we need is ram prices to be reasonable again and life is good!

DRAMless. 1st-gen 3D NAND of unknown origin. "Marvell controller" we can only guess at.
I have experienced several hiccups using this drive for OS and programs. Explorer will rarely freeze for several seconds until inputs start registering during intense read/write sessions. Never had these problems before. I believe this is due to using the SSD.
I don't regret my purchase because I knew it was the bottom of the barrel in performance and price. I just wanted cheap NAND.

Here are my numbers from CrystalDiskMark.
Sequential Read (Q= 32,T= 1) : 544.305 MB/s
Sequential Write (Q= 32,T= 1) : 478.586 MB/s
Random Read 4KiB (Q= 8,T= 8) : 200.808 MB/s
Random Write 4KiB (Q= 8,T= 8) : 245.850 MB/s
Random Read 4KiB (Q= 32,T= 1) : 193.361 MB/s
Random Write 4KiB (Q= 32,T= 1) : 136.242 MB/s
Random Read 4KiB (Q= 1,T= 1) : 20.642 MB/s
Random Write 4KiB (Q= 1,T= 1) : 79.339 MB/s

Edit:

The information on several websites listing it as using a Marvell controller is not true [i2hard.ru].

I think the SU800 @ $150 is a better deal.

Over provisioning by Adata. Benchmarks for this drive here:

I can't find a place where it says what controller it uses, but the comments I read on forums make me think that this uses a Dramless controller. Dramless controllers have more over-provisioning to make up for the slower speeds of not having Dram. If anyone has definite proof, please correct me as I would like to know for sure too.
