NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5
16GB DDR4-3000 RAM
250GB SSD+1TB HDD
Microsoft Windows 10 Home
ASUS 24x DVDRW Drive
10/100/1000 Network
802.11ac Wireless
Display Not Included

600W power supply, motherboard is Asus Prime Z370-P.

Just saw this and it caught my eye. Good deal since building a machine with these specs would come out to a bit more than this. Overclockable. PowerSpec is Micro Center's computer brand, they basically build them with 'brand-name' components, so that's why you get an Asus motherboard etc.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Countless hours to test? This is a powerspec rig, the guy who put it together left everything on auto. Left it running maybe 1 or 2 tests for 30 mins and sent it off. Hours of building? Go to microcenter and look inside one of these pre builts it takes 30 mins max to put together.

You're getting $100+ Microsoft license for $15? Please link to a Microsoft authorized dealer with that price! This deserves to be front page.

Note this is an in-store only deal. So a nice price like this is a bummer for those that don't live close to a micro center.

Seems like it comes out to a bit more, but only if you build the whole thing with full price components. Just saying.

bought the same desktop a year ago at microcenter for $939 with tax openbox. Runs smooth. Was worth a 90 min drive.

I just built something comparable with current sale prices, but not going out of my way to select best deals and it looks like this pre-built machine will save you about $300 give or take versus putting it together on your own.

Regardless, my preference is to build instead of buy pre-built.. I don't like giving up brand control on my PC components and this PSU is just barely sized large enough (no wiggle room for future expansions).

This deal sucks.

If you went to micro for the cpu/board its like 300? The ram is cheap 150 aprox. The gpu can be easily found for 350 or near it. The SSD and 1tb hhd are worth aboutg 100. Tack on a psu for about 80. Your at less than 1k and the case is like 40 bucks new.

Yeah but dont forget the countless hours to build it and test ! I'd rather just buy this instead of wasting hours building.
