Don't see discounts on Weber grills very often...and this isn't even a clearance. Discount is only on the Crimson color. Price is the same, with or without the "free assembly".

Poor reviews on heating and cooking
"It takes forever and doesn't give the nice sear my previous $400 grill did."
"To put it simply, this grill just doesn't get hot enough. "
"Even worse, the grill does not get hot enough to sear your meat. Your thermometer will register over 600 degrees, and then you put your meat on and it barely sizzles."
"The very first time I cooked my steak it took too long to cook and it got dried up because the grates were not hot enough and I never got those grill marks nor that sizzling sound."
"Grill is not hot enough. Takes 20 minutes to get to 550. Open lid to flip items, etc. and it drops precipitously and doesn't recover adequately in relevant time frame."
"Anemic heat by design"
"not sure why our new 899.00 weber gas grill is not holding heat. cant even bbq."

EDIT: After reading some of the 5 star reviews, some people there are saying the same thing. One of the reviewers gave it a 5 star rating but said he can't get the grill above 500 degrees and another that it doesn't sear properly. Pass!
EDIT2: Reading the 2 star reviews - same complaint about it taking too long to come up to temperature and not being able to get it above 500 degrees. Very surprised since Weber normally is good quality.

I never dealt with the gas leak check: just turn the gas on at the tank, count to three, then start the grill.

Interesting. I ended up ordering it but the assembly way included all the way up to "clicking" when placing the order. Ended up going back and removing assembly.
