Its the same price at Amazon.

I bought this a long time ago. It took me a couple nights worth of building to complete. A lot of the pieces are small 1x1 sloped pieces, so while it seems like you are getting a great deal on over 4200 bricks, you are getting hundreds of 1 brick.

Cool set, but the sale price is a bit weak for such a high priced set to start with.

Looks like Target ships this in the original packaging (there's a warning that there's no way to hide what it is), so I guess the outer box would be pretty banged up when it arrives.

A lot of the larger Lego products (3000+ pieces) come in an outer brown cardboard box from Lego. (think of it as a heavy brown cardboard directly sized to perfectly contain the shiny pretty Lego retail box). They've been doing this for a while and Amazon similarly notes that some of these will come in this type of box.

I didn't get the Tower Bridge this way, so can't say for sure, but I've never seen Target or Amazon ship a shiny retail Lego box with shipping sticker on it. If they do ship in manufacturer packaging, it is a rugged brown corrugated Lego outer box It actually might protect the item better than if Amazon or Target puts it into one of those huge 2' x 3' boxes with a little bubble packet and the thing tosses around in the large box for a trip across the country.

That was my Target experience when I purchased the modular building pet shop (10218) a while after it had been discontinued, when I was following it on zoo-lerts. It came in a Lego-branded cardboard box and was in perfect condition. The best part, though, was that the box had room for two sets, and they sent me two sets in error when I had only paid for one.

I got a UCS SW set from Amazon with shipping labels stuck on the retail package. I also prefer the Lego outer brown box.

tsk tsk poor taste given that a lego bridge such as this will likely end up looking like this weeks Italy bridge tragedy.

I just bought this set from target about 2 weeks ago and they ship it in the shiny box without the outer cardboard box. There is a warning about this on the Target website. I picked it up in the store and this helps keep the box in better shape and no shipping stickers. They just scotch tape the receipt to the box.

Same - retail packaging with UPS shipping label on it from Amazon. (I returned it)
