Some good deals to be had, that's for sure. But with the closing of so many Sears stores, and the declining quality of their ratchets and sockets...I've opted for the Kobalt line from Lowes. They really are quite of bit better than Craftsman now

Considering they are lifetime and are now carried by Lowes for lifetime exchanges I see no reason not to get this.

This is new to me. Lowes carries Craftsman tools and honors their exchange policy (just like Sears) now?
One thing I hate about HD and Lowes is whenever I try to exchange something, they always ask for my DL. So is this the same to exchange tools?
With Sears, they never ask for my DL. They just need my phone/email (no DL related) and I'm good to go.

Thanks for the deal. These worked well as filler for the $5 off $50 coupon and $50 SYW points for $50+ purchase.

There's a $5 off $50 here: https://slickdeals.net/coupons/sears/

And a $5 off $35 on tools: https://www.retailmenot.com/view/sears.com

Be aware that coupons don't typically stack well with freecash or bonus point offers.

Cause they are junk quality and working with bad tools isn't worth any amount of savings? If something is frustrating it slows you down, if it breaks, it slows you down even more.

My parents moved out their house of 58 years to a retirement condo. My Dad has a nice collection of old school Made in USA Craftsman tools that will be added to my Made in USA collection. Smilie

Duplicates will be passed down to my daughter when she buys a house.

I was rejected by Home Depot on an return I was trying to make. They stated I was a serial returner! That is BS. I had to appeal the decision to HD Corporate which was a clusterF in the first place. Just gave up. I wanted to return an item for exchange for another different item. The reason: The HD help suggested the incorrect item in the first place.
Serial returner! Did they check your ID everytime you return an item? For me, they never check ID only when I don't have a receipt.

Stanley B&D just held their Craftsman Launch event this past weekend. Not only are they bringing much of the manufacturing back to the US, retail partners include Lowes, Ace, and Amazon. Their new socket wrenches are excellent. Instead of these old 32-tooth Craftsman models, new base ratchet will have 75 teeth and premium line of ratchets will clock in at 120 teeth.

Funny thing is that:
- BD/Stanley bought Craftsman Line
- Lowes is ending Kobalt relationship with wrenches and cabinets
- Lowes now has a bunch of red Craftsman in the stores...
