I have the anywhere 2. Theses mice are not geared toward gaming at all. Unless you're talking solitaire. Someone can chime in with the differences between the two but I have no issues with the anywhere 2 other than not being able to install the software on a company laptop because you need admin privileges. They should have made this mouse store the configuration for that button on board like you can do with their gaming mice.

The reason I got this is because of the ability to pair to 3 bluetooth device. I got 3 laptop they all running windows 7. heres the issue.
1 - If you don't have the new bluetooth version it won't work properly. one of my laptop don't have the new bluetooth and the mouse don't get detected. My other two laptop (win7 x64, with Bluetooth 4.0) connect to it but it disconnects alot.
2 - the worst part is the software. when you configure button setting (what each buttons do) on the "options" software it doesn't retain the setting.
when the laptop is rebooted or the mouse turns on and off. or switch from one connection device and back. I lose the custom button configuration. I tried setting it many time. reinstalling drivers, installed older version and same thing..
I guess if you use the unifying dongle it works fine but whats the point of paying higher price for the 3blueth device connection if you can onlh use the dongle.
while I love logitech customer serivce and their accessories this one just sucks.
The "s" adds multi-pc support and file sharing called Logitech flow. If you have a laptop sitting next to your desktop it may be helpful - just move the mouse pointer over to the laptop to clear a reminder or read an email.
