Just bought a second one of these for home. They're worth every penny imo. Mine is loaded up with 3x30 lb displays and a heavy workstation. Doesn't even bat an eyelid!

I've tried both this desk and the uplift desk. I returned the uplift and went with this one because it goes a tad bit lower, which works better for me while sitting (e.g. about the height I had my previous keyboard tray at).

that $345 makes it sound great, but that's for the 30 x 27" size. That's tiny.

60"x30" is where it's at.

I bought a Jarvis over 2 years ago (just the frame - using it with an Ikea Galant desktop) and I am very satisfied with it. It's extremely well built, at one point I had a micro ATX tower, xbox one, 4 bay NAS, UPS and 2 monitors on gas lift arms piled on top of it - it had no problem raising and lowering whatsoever.

$50 off per any size. Decent I suppose, if they've never been on sale before.

Not enough for me though, particularly when I don't have enough basis of comparison to judge the quality. The wirecutter recommendation is all well and good but I don't know enough about them to trust their rating on face value.

So I'm going to hold off for now. If I knew this was clearly a better performing desk than others in a similar vein, I might bite. But I don't other than a few random anecdotal positive reports without context (of what other similar desks those users have tried before, if they have at all).

For example, I wonder how it would stack up to this upcoming model, which is going to be $50 cheaper than the sale price here for the same size (30X60).:
