First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.
Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing
The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.
Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.
The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

I'll send it to her...I'd feel bad if I sent a fake one. I think she's one of those that's fwd's everything though and my grandpa already does that (he's on my FB too, lol). My grandpa...when he fwd's stuff...I usually have to send him the snopes link to tell him it's a fake. He doesn't respond to those letters though, lol. He's all about the internet though...so I think that's kinda cool.

I don't mind some. Like Tat2gurl sends me some that are Really funny. But my grandpa's are kinda the same thing all the time...but it's ok...I figure someday he'll be gone and then I'll miss his fwds. I miss my grandparents. They're still all alive and I really want to see them more while they're all still in good health and all that. We're not that far. They're in Indiana (though one set of my grandparents live in FL during the winter)...I know I'm gonna kick myself when one of them passes away and I will wish so much I had taken the time to go up and see them.
