CVS Info:

First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.

Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing

The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.

The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

Did you know that you could nuke jiffy mix? My mom taught me how. Just mix it up how you normally would only in a glass or ceramic bowl. Then just pop it in the microwave for three minute or until the top gets boingy and doesn't stick to your finger.
EEK!

I adore you and all, but if they can't tell the difference between Jiffy and your recipe, I question your recipe (at least until I get to taste it).

My heart breaks for Veiyah and her family. I know another woman who is currently pregnant with her son who has anencephaly and her baby will die when he is born, but she is choosing to carry him to term. She feels like she owes her child every second of life that he has. I agree with her. It is not our decision to make whether a child should live or die... But I guess that's just my opinion. I know there are people who don't agree with me.

As for any other situation, or one in particular, I would never change how I was. I prayed sincerely and trusted without doubting. I wouldn't change those things, but I am going to be more careful in the future with who I confide in. I hope every single prayer I prayed for anyone will be heard by God and that it will be to their benefit as God sees fit. So it's all good. Smilie

Whatever prayers you said were definitely needed, just for a different reason. People like that need many, many prayers.

Yep, and I'm still prayin' for her. Sometimes I wonder if anyone has someone to pray for them, you know? I really hope and pray that whatever causes people to act out will be healed, because I'm sure that it's the result of some sort of personal trauma, just like people who were abused as kids often turn into abusers, you know?

I'm not saying that the person is innocent of any wrongdoing, but I just wonder if there isn't some past heartbreak there. I just hope the best for everyone involved.

Now I'm gonna stop talkin' because I don't want to get in trouble.

Our contractor guys lost one of the parts to the toilet paper hanger for the half bath. Did you know that there are people who will pay $300 for something to hang a roll of TP on? Huh

DH likes the $10 model. laugh out loud I refuse to pay $8 to ship it, so we'll be hitting all the hardware stores today I think.

You have a very kind heart, PG. Don't ever let anyone change that. Better to pray for someone that doesn't need it than to not pray for someone that needs it.

Do you have kitties? Aurora would catch a dangling piece and destroy the roll in ten seconds flat if I had something like that within reach. We only leave the roll out if company comes over. If not we keep it in a container until needed.
