CVS Info:

First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.

Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing

The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.

The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

Do you have kitties? Aurora would catch a dangling piece and destroy the roll in ten seconds flat if I had something like that within reach. We only leave the roll out if company comes over. If not we keep it in a container until needed.

I hear that. My calico is so chubberific that she can't groom "back there" too well and has to maneuver herself when she sits just so she doesn't sit on her own udder. Most of the time she lays on her back with all four limbs completely splayed out.

The cats don't get in there anymore. We have a closed-door policy. My problem is the boys... apparently it's big fun to empty the roll. Annoyed

DH and I had to train ourselves to make sure that the toilet seat went down every time because Bond, our big tuxedo boy cat would always fall in it or want to play in it.

I heart you!

My heart breaks for Veiyah and her family. I know another woman who is currently pregnant with her son who has anencephaly and her baby will die when he is born, but she is choosing to carry him to term. She feels like she owes her child every second of life that he has. I agree with her. It is not our decision to make whether a child should live or die... But I guess that's just my opinion. I know there are people who don't agree with me.

As for any other situation, or one in particular, I would never change how I was. I prayed sincerely and trusted without doubting. I wouldn't change those things, but I am going to be more careful in the future with who I confide in. I hope every single prayer I prayed for anyone will be heard by God and that it will be to their benefit as God sees fit. So it's all good. Smilie

Our contractor guys lost one of the parts to the toilet paper hanger for the half bath. Did you know that there are people who will pay $300 for something to hang a roll of TP on? : huh:

DH likes the $10 model. laugh out loud I refuse to pay $8 to ship it, so we'll be hitting all the hardware stores today I think.

329.51. But hey - free shipping! : whee:
$329.51 Bigeye

If that were in my house that is how it would look on a permanent basis. My family does not know how to put a new roll on Annoyed

This is Bond he is one of the best cats I've ever had. He's hella smart but he runs into walls occasionally, extremely affectionate, loyal, goofy, and one of the softest, most beautiful cats I've ever seen. He gets into everything, and has to rear up on everyone that comes over just like a dog. Everyone who comes over wants to take him home. Okay, I promise after this no more bragging about my cats. I'm sure I'm boring you guys.

Brag away! Your cat is adorable! How to you keep his coat so shiny? My cat is also VERY long haired and she's a bugger to keep nice. I've had to have her knocked out several times and shaved at the vets because she gets so matted.

I think I found the cure now. The FURminator!
