CVS Info:

First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.

Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing

The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.

The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

When I was little, we lived with my grandma and one day she was out in the backyard and I could hear her call out to a kitty (which there were lots of.) All of a sudden she's screaming in Spanish that there was a demon trying to get her. She wasn't wearing her glasses and the "kitty" that she had been calling out to stood up on its hind legs at her. It was a ferret! To this day I don't know if it was a friendly feral or someone's pet, but we had so much fun with that little guy. He smelled terrible though, so we donated him to a nature preserve. I'd love to get a descented one one day, but I hear they are really chewy. I'd sure hate for it to destroy a computer or get fried.
we had a ferret do almost the same thing. My mom was outside feeding the cats, and a ferret walked up to her, freaked her out, and then followed her inside. We kept him for years ( and yes, they are stinky) but that was the best pet i ever had, i would walk him on a leash, and when he got old and creaky, and couldn't walk anymore, I would put him in a baby carriage, and stroll him around.

Can you guys tell my family is very weird, and very open minded, and we lived in a really rural area?

I had a pet possum once. her name was Muffin. Muffin lived in my garage for months, and then disappeared. she came back a few months later, with a pouch full of baby possums, they got to live in the garage for a while also.

I am sure, since my family still lives there, that some Muffin spawn are still scaring the crap out of my uncle when he comes home late, to this very day.
Ummm, I did some research online and I do not believe Muffin was pregnant with multiples. Mkthx!

Grandma told me a story about my dad playing with "kittens" when he was about 4 or 5. He was in an empty lot a couple houses away playing by a tree. Grandma calls him in for lunch. He doesn't hear her so she heads towards him and that tree. As she gets closer she realizes they are not "kittens" but RATS! Needless to say she freaked the hell out. Grabbed up little Jimmy as fast as she could and disinfected him in the tub. Roll

My sil used to have one... their house was nasty. They didn't clean after it well - didn't at all would be a better statement, really. It had a cage full of (moldy) poop. And they'd let it run around...and of course it wasn't trained (not sure if it's even possible to train a ferret) so it would poop under the couch and everywhere, basically. I'm sure it was peeing everywhere too, but was the spots would dry and I couldn't see them... but sure could smell it.
I've heard they can be litter trained. Freddy did his business in his cage. He'd stop in the middle of playing and go to his cage to relieve himself. He was so funny. He'd bounce around the house on all fours like a furry croquet grommet and he'd laugh! Ferret laughter sounds kind of like Muttley from Wacky Races.
