Editor's Notes & Price Research

Written by

The discounted price will automatically apply during checkout, but if Fi is not activated within 30 days of device shipment, the discounted amount will be charged to your Google Payments account to match the full price of the device. There is no minimum activation time needed to be eligible for the discount. Activation must be full service (e.g., activation does not apply to a data-only SIM). Device must be activated under the same email address that was used to purchase the device. Click here for full promo terms & conditions. -johnny_miller

Project Fi is having a labor day sale and selling the LG G7 for $450:
https://fi.google.com/account?sel.../customize

and the V35 for $599.

This is not the $300 fi credit that they were previously offering and eliminates the hassle with the credit.

This version (ULM) for both phones is compatible with both gsm and cdma networks. It is much harder to find and have been selling for over $500 on eBay, though this may bring them down.

Phone must be activated within 30 days or you are charged the extra $300.

Total came to $483.79 in California, shipped.

Good deal on the G7, but unlocked V35 sold for this price on prime day.

I almost bought the G7, but the shutter lag is just too much, imho. Especially compared to Samsung phones.

I wouldn't dream of leaving Fi. LGs have great DACs BTW.

The V35 on Amazon has a locked bootloader and is not compatible with all the networks used on Fi. I also think the V35 uses the same cameras as the G7 just orients them differently.

For just me on Fi the G7 made sense. The money off vs. the credit also saves me $27 in sales tax. Going from a POS Moto X4, I can't wait for it to arrive!

Can we use this phone on atnt network?
Yes but it will require activating the phone on Fi. One month of service is $20 + tax. If you use any data it's $10 per gig pro-rated for exactly the amount you use.

found the answer myself in terms on Fi site : "There is no minimum activation time needed to be eligible for the discount."
