I have a LG 34" 2560x1080. I use it for music production, office work, movies and some gaming. So far no complaints. Just make sure you have a decent graphics card on your system. Watch out for the 144Hz bullies tho. vomit

34 inches at 1080 is at the bottom of acceptable.
I wouldn't buy a 34 inch that's not 3440 by 1440...

You can find a 29 inch version, almost identical specs otherwise, that regularly goes on sale for $50 to $80 less. I prefer the smaller screen, any wider and the need for a curved screen becomes more apparent. Costco doesn't carry them though. Be warned, the stands on all these low end LG's suck.

I have the different model 34" ultrawide, bought it when it was something like $215 with Ghost Recon game bundle
It would depend on what it's going to be used for, but I would not get the 29"
Go to BestBuy or somewhere that has both ultrawide sizings, and compare the two
The experience is night and day difference. Just my 2 cents

We bought 3 for a new office this week. Overall they are great work monitors. Wide enough to give you two workable areas when split in half. I'd prefer dual monitors but this is way easier to set up and get a clean look with single mounting arms.
