although this is pretty much a 2017 deal, still not bad for those looking for a budget gaming laptop.
i got a hp pavilion with almost exactly the same specs (4gb GPU instead of 2gb) for $630 over a year ago that's still running strong without any flaws/hiccups.
i use it to play some older games (steam backlog). i wouldn't expect it to run any relatively new games on high settings.
I stocked up on three CyberPowerPC laptops with 8750H,16gb, 1TB m.2 and 1060 for $650 a piece this weekend....there are better deals to be had if you have patience.
Really no difference. 7th gen probably has less cores. This has 4 cores, so you know that going in. Since it has GTX 1050, the integrated graphics differences probably don't matter.

Really big difference between the 7th and 8th gen actually...

I think it's not bad in general. Bought two at like $649 over a month ago. The thing is, to get anywhere near this build quality and specs, you typically spend more and get a 13 or 14 screen..
This can be a good deal for many people and is loads better than most major company offerings under $650.
Either he is busy or he realized that hes mistaken or they fell off a truck.... Cause that would be a blazing hot deal and I would be in for one in a heart beat.
