There was a front page deal here for just 1 of these filters at $9.90 after promo code and there were limits of how many filters you can purchase with the code. But this 4 pack ends up being a bit cheaper per filter ($9.50) and No Code is required and shipping is FREE.

And there is an unlimited shelf life for these filters if stored in a dry place, so why not stock up?

This is a VERY highly rated filter and pretty much the best you're gonna find that's not the original Samsung filters. These filters are certified by NSF 53, very rare for the aftermarket filters. Most filters are only certified NSF/ANSI standard 42 for aesthetic non-health-related contaminants (chlorine, taste, odor). See over 1,000 reviews of the filters here [amazon.com].
  • NSF 53 CERTIFIED: Reduces specific health-related contaminants for cleaner water: 99.6% of Lead, 99.99% of Cyst, 96.6% of Benzene, 98.4% of Carbofuran, 96.6% of Endrin
  • NSF 42 CERTIFIED: Reduces 97% of Chlorine, taste and odor for great-tasting water that stimulates your palate
  • NSF 372 CERTIFIED: Made of lead-free material for worry-free drinking experience

Clearly a shill. These made in China garbage filters, and if that isn't enough to keep you away...these have caused leaks for many members here.

You can find these generic Chinese filters for this price all the time, and they are all the same.

Yep, I've tried on a GE fridge with GE and generic filters, Samsung fridge (now) with Samsung filter and generic filter and results are about the same. Our tap water isn't as bad as you (where do you live???) where I get consistent 220-250 tds (not sure if same as ppm) from tap and after fridge filter, it's usually around 180-200 tds. After getting a 5-stage RO system from iSpring it dropped to about 20-25 tds and taste great. My mom has a professional RO from a company that installs and service with monthly charge and her's is about 10-15 tds.

There's several Amazon reviews and SD post sale on iSpring system. Not the easiest to install but pretty great value overall. They make more expensive larger commercial and whole house systems, but I think that's a bit overkill and most ppl usually just hook up an RO by kitchen sink and maybe route to fridge water line as well.

the initial hookup is under the sink. on things like this, i like to go with a local company that has been around for a while. the basic system was like 360, install was 90 bucks. however, our fridge is like 20ft from the sink, and a 90 deg bend. so they had to use a lot more tubing, plus a demand pump, and another reservoir. the total then was 700. the ice is now amazingly clear. i also went for a couple extras, like an additional filter. the filters are about 50 bucks, and they last a year or more, depending on use. since there is only the 2 of us, it should last a lot longer. i have an ubante to check ppm, so we will know when it is time.

I have used generics from Amazon many times and never
had issues with leaks. I have used Aquacrest and Waterdrop.

Check in your refrigerator for the model number and google Samsung replacement filters to find out the model number. Then check to see if it is compatible. I have used these filters and they worked great for me. I would still prefer a whole house water filter, but this is a good deal for NSF 53.
