I have done it plenty of times in my lifetime. Most recently with a 1yr old. I can't say I am a huge fan of the trip, but this is a steal compared to some of the RT prices I have paid.
It helps if you're short! Smilie
I just did Sydney to Houston. Much much worse. And on United. I swear those seats didn't actually recline. Well worth it though for the amazing trip.

I'd recommend Virgin out of the three (even for a bit more money). You'll thank me.

Is there any websites that track or look for deals on business or first class? The advertised and common rates are ridiculous but I wouldn't mind paying extra within reason. I normally look at Scott's Cheap Flights but they don't have many business or first class deals.

Quantas' advertises price for Atl to Sydney was something like $18,000. I'm sure normal price on various sites like Priceline is cheaper but still probably $8000-10000.
