I'm not a new customer, and deal worked for me. Xfinity email to me said available until 12/31/2018. Apparently no catches/leases, etc. After you pay off the IPAD, its yours. Was available before, then taken off the market. Now back on.

Fine details states if the Xfinity plan is cancelled prior to the 24 months, then the balance will be billed to your next bill. Anyway you look at it, its $120, and you can prepay it off. Call 866-299-7677 (Ipad Order Dept of Comcast) to check for questions.

Have not tried, but seems to me that if you have any sort of intro deal currently, you may not be able to go back to it.

Solid deal if you're already a Triple-Play customer, but if you're not, it doesn't pencil out to spend $150/month just to get a discounted iPad.

If you read through the previous thread that was linked earlier in this thread you will see many people talking about this. Bottom line is that you won't be able to go back to your previous package/deal if you had something special that is no longer available. If you didn't have any special pricing or anything then it's worth a try since you won't be missing out on any special grandfathered package or anything.
