Hi,

Just received an e-mail that Outback Steakhouse is going to have Steak & Unlimited Shrimp again, starting tomorrow, September 26th, 2018.

Prices start at $15.99.

There are typically 2 types of shrimp available: garlic herb butter and crispy. The prices increases with the size and cut of steak you select, or you can add unlimited shrimp to any entree for a set cost as well.

Never tried outbacks endless shrimp. But red lobsters shrimp does taste terrible

Outback offers larger shrimp in the endless, than Red Lobster.

We use aarp discount, take the steaks and potatos home in boxes for next days lunch, and just chow on the shrimp, then pay with discounted gift cards, and when home submit the receipt for the dine in rewards where every 4th visit is half price.

I tried this the last time they had this promo and it was horrible. The bring you a small plate of shrimp and I immediately asked for another serving of the shrimp. About 30 minutes later another small plate arrives. I went to Sizzler a week later and got their steak and all you can eat shrimp. They load it on your plate and each additional serving is a good size. The shrimp at Sizzler is mediocre, but it tasted better than Outback.

I'm in for some more endless shrimp. I'll give their flacors a try verses RL. I'll probably take the steak n potatoes home for the next day.

They only have 2 flavors, but they are pretty decent. I usually do exactly what you said and take the steak home for later.

Sounds like you had a bad experience or a bad location. My experience was the exact opposite. The shrimp refills came out in 5 minutes or less, and the waitress kept them coming as long as I wanted, even offering to put in a refill to take home with my steak. There really is no reason why the refills shouldn't be quick... they only have 2 varieties and make them in large batches, then portion out the refills for customers.

I have never been to Sizzler because there isn't one in my market. The only options I have are casino buffets, Red Lobster, or the traditional buffets (Old Country or Golden Corral) if I want to get my shrimp on. The traditional ones don't always have shrimp, and if they do it's only for dinner.
