I have 4 of these. Been using them for over a year with Alexa and Google home without any issues. I use the Smart Life app (do not use the Jinvoo app). The Jinvoo app runs constantly in the background.

I may pickup a couple more to use with my Christmas lights Cool

No, these are WiFi plugs. No hub needed. I use a ton of WiFi smart devices beside my SmartThings hub because they're generally much cheaper.

Does this work with the Tuya app as well? Usually anything that works with smartlife works with it.

Thanks for the info, may finally have a use for my Home Mini. Ordered 3 to control a fan and the upcoming Christmas lights.

One thing I noticed is that a lot of people are claiming Smart Life has started running in the background at all times (In the Play Store reviews).
