Food is extremely expensive there. A case of Corona is $80. Their local Turks Head beer is actually really good, so we stocked up on that. Rented this cool car (kind of like a Wrangler) called a Moke and drove around the island.
Went snorkeling on a conch salad boat trip and they give you fresh made conch salad, all the rum punch you can drink, and take you to this private island covered in lizards but beautiful.
We rented our own snorkeling gear and went snorkeling on another part of the island by ourselves. Took a go pro and got great footage of turtles, an eel, stingray, and tons of colorful fish.
Thursday night is the fish fry and everyone is there. Huge party with lots of vendors selling fried fritters and island food.
In Provo you can go to the Potcake Animal shelter and rent a dog to play with on the beach. You can also adopt and bring it back to the states. They have a Facebook page.
We were told to not go out at night but there were tons of people out at Jimmy's Dive Bar, Danny Buoy's and another bar. Just don't walk by yourself and be smart.

Best beach in the world...Punta Cana is a joke..
But 10 times better than Punta Cana.
