Well, I got the oil and filter from Walmart and just submit my rebate last week. Based on this thread, purchase from Walmart most likely works.

I imagine that may not be the complete list and Walmart is not specifically excluded

I have purchased Mobil 1 oil at Walmart.com for the past two Mobil 1 rebates, submitted the online forms, and received payment without any problem.

Make sure you include the correct receipt that shows proof of payment AND shipping. They denied my submission because they say I didn't give them BOTH (even though I gave them the correct information on one receipt). They really seem to be getting super picky on these rebates now... Frown

Walmart is almost never listed as participating on any rebates ever but I've never had my rebates denied for it. I haven't done this one yet, but it seems unlikely it will be any different. Submit everything they ask for and its usually fine, when people I know get denied its usually a technical issue where they didn't follow the exact directions and submit everything asked, not where they purchased it.

This post at least reminded me of rebate that I submitted in August for purchase made at Walmart for 5 quart jug. It shows online status of no rebate submitted, so I called number at bottom of the page and they told me rebate check was sent to my email on 9/28. I do not see it in my email, also checked spam. So agent requested paper check and said I will have it in about 3 weeks. May be best to choose physical check option when applying for this rebate. Thanks SD buddies! Smilie

Yeah...everyone was able to buy from walmart last time and was also able to get the rebate. Past does not predict future. I guess you can take a chance...Columbus did.
