NeweggFlash has TP-Link OnHub AC1900 Dual-Band Wireless Router (Refurbished, TGR1900BLU) for $59.99 when you apply promo code NEFQBA18. Shipping is free. Thanks sr71
I got three, works as well as any Google mesh setup, perhaps slightly better. My 2000 SF house gets a stable 130 megabits from basement to second floor, far corner to far corner. Basically a bit faster than non-gigabit Ethernet. Good enough for my needs.

i remember people buying them when they came out, but the hype died down quick

I have used a few of these in a mesh config ( still do ). Overall a solid performer, beats pretty much every router out there which are 3-4 times its price. Not sure about the refurb deal on newegg flash. but if newegg is selling it, i am sure its in pretty decent shape.

Same functionality as google wifi mesh but with AC1900 vs AC1200. I have these and the ASUS version and they work well but I'm guessing that's more about Google wifi than the actual hardware. It actually has zigbee or zwave that Google never bother to implement.

These are awesome. When google released google home, they updated the onhub to work with mesh. I have 3 of these around the house and they have way better range and signal than the newer google home routers.
This is such a great deal. I combine these into my Google WiFi network and I have unbelievable coverage. No downtime ever and a lot of the time I pick up my wifi network from the other side of the park across the street from my house.

Just bought my 2nd one.
Wait, can I pair this Onhub router with the current Google WiFi router (link below), or are you pairing them with the first gen Onhub/Google routers?
