Husband Starting his Own Appliance Repair Business

Hi everyone!
My husband will be starting his own appliance repair business in AZ, after working for several big name companies for 20 yrs. He already has his uniforms with logos, van with vinyls, business cards are almost done.. He's pretty much all set, but I'm afraid of not being totally prepared..
Do any of you have any tips on how to manage our business expenses, if we need an accountant, what sells, what doesn't sell in this line of business, what you would love a home appliance repair company to do for you, how do we discipline ourselves and keep track of receipts, which credit cards to sign up for.... I mean, anything you guys can teach me or advise me, I will take!
Thanks!

Best of luck!
You should be set up to take credit cards and other forms of payment such as Vemo
He actually has a website. He made it himself. It's not complete yet, but he definitely will have a tab where ppl can book online. I do like the text option, but I'm not sure he's going to want his face sent all over AZ.

Business 101
too true
Also create a dozen or so email addresses and leave a bunch of positive reviews to start with
he should text his picture to the customer so when they see a guy at the door they know who it is.
Not sure where you live but there are a lot of people who break into houses by ringing the doorbell and asking a few questions then they come back later.
If they know who it at the door they will feel much better and could pick his company over another by saying. We will txt you a picture of your technician and his arrival time the day of your appointment.
Also don't say he is the only one in the business but he should let people know he is the owner.
He should offer 24 hour service for emergencies and hook up with someone else who is a sole proprietor to cover in case he gets sick or injured. Best way to get a bad review is to not show up for an appointment.
