I have one. Works great paired with smart plug. I can set timers and tell Alexa to turn on and off. When I can, I turn it on 45 mins or so before I shower to conserve water.

If your water heater is older (mine is about 10 years old) consider replacing the hot water outlet pipe (flexible stainless type worked great for me) as the old gaskets leaked after a couple weeks.

Had their RO system a few years ago and one day the hose ruptured. Tried to contact their support for days and couldnt get a hold of anyone. Beware, you wont be getting any support at all. F Watts Premier

I am guessing this won't work with my electric on demand water heater.

This looks like a good price for what it is. But these systems don't work for everyone. My house has a central heater with a 50 ft branch in one direction, a 70 foot branch in another and a third 20 foot branch. It would require three of these to work everywhere. And since we're on a well water isn't very expensive so it would probably cost us more for gas than it saves on water. OTOH, if you've got a one branch system feeding most outlets and your water is quite expensive this would make sense.

The sending units are about $50, would need one per branch

I'd need one pump per branch as they cool and are used differently. And the constant circulation of hot water loses heat from pipes which would otherwise be cold most of the time. But this could work fine for others.
