In honor of Veterans Day, Westgate Resorts, full service resort, is giving away 1,500 free vacations to eligible U.S. military personnel beginning Nov. 9 at 9 a.m. EST. Receive a complimentary stay for up to four guests at Westgate Town Center Resort & Spa or Westgate Vacation Villas Resort & Spa during the weekend of May 10-12, 2019.

The weekend will include a patriotic concert headlining Gary Sinise's acclaimed Gary Sinise & The Lt. Dan Band on Saturday, May 11, 2019. PLUS...in Orlando, all attendees will receive a complimentary three-day, two-night stay in a Studio Villa (additional nights can be purchased), free admission for up to four guests to the on-site Shipwreck Island Water Park.

Here's how it works:
In addition to the 1,500 free vacations for military families, Westgate Resorts will offer a special 25% discount for all U.S. military veterans valid for travel by 11/14/19

A valid DD214 for combat veterans or a currently active Military ID card will be required in order to receive final confirmation. Offer valid for the first 1,500 reservations. No resort fee will be charged. No Resort Preview Required. Not valid for Westgate employees.

"A valid DD214 for combat veterans or a currently active Military ID card will be required in order to receive final confirmation."

So I'm guessing the DD-214 has to show a deployment in a combat zone if currently not Active Duty?

Looks like for those who served in combat only, not for active military otherwise.

4. Offer is valid only for active military personnel who have deployed to a combat zone, combat veterans, and Gold Star family members who are immediate family members of U.S. Armed Forces members who died during any period of war or hostilities in which the armed forces of the United States were engaged.

I'm confused why a $100 deposit is required for a free stay? Refundable I know, but still??

many hotels require a deposit for incidentals. it's just a hold on your card.
