It looks like you can earn 10% cash back on this if you launch and purchase through the Samsung app for users with Samsung Pay. If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

everyone wants to know whether 1TB will drop under $100 by BF. No one knows but given the current trajectory of NVMe prices you can be sure that SATA drives will drop in price precipitously..certainly under $100 by Q1 2019.

People always debate whether they should reach for NVMe. While great drives, very few users can truly take advantage of the increased throughput. The vast majority of users will never realize those upticks in performance. Unless budget is of no concern, stick with a SATA drive for now.
On a similar note you can buy 130 McDonald's McChicken sandwiches for the same price.
This will blow your mind: SATA III's limit is 6/Gbps (six gigabits per second; why the hell they measure SATA III throughput in gigabits like a network measurement is beyond me), and all these SATA ssd's "max out" at ~550MBps (megaBYTES per second).

Wouldn't ya know it -- 6 Gigabit per second is roughly 550 Megabytes Per Second!

Thus, SATA throughput maxed out. I hope everyone learned something cool today. Smilie

Not the $100 some were predicting, but pretty damn close IMO. What's the scoop on tax, anyone know? If there's no tax it would be better than Best Buy.

Yes for tax collected. I went partially through the checkout process just now, and at least for Illinois, the screen displayed a tax amount after entering my shipping address.

I know the prices on SSD's have been going down a lot lately, but is it likely that we will start to see sub $100 prices on 1tb SSD's into next year?
