For a limited time from November 16 through November 22, Project Fi is offering $799 in service credits when you buy two Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XLs from fi.google.com. In order to qualify, a new user can start a group plan, or a current user can add a new member to their Fi group plan. One of the devices must be activated by a group plan member who is new to Project Fi.

Users can purchase two Pixel 3 phones, two Pixel 3 XL phones, or one Pixel 3 phone and one Pixel 3 XL phone. One user must purchase both devices. The devices must be activated within 30 days of device shipment and remain active for 60 consecutive days within 90 days of device shipment. Additionally, the new member must transfer (port-in) their existing number from the previous carrier to qualify. Once all terms and conditions have been met, a service credit will be applied to the purchaser's Fi account and customers will receive an email notifying them of the service credit.

Not ready for a group plan? Come back on November 23rd to check out our Black Friday deals.

This is the same deal that has been going for a while. I began looking into Project Fi in Oct and saw this same del and as far as I know it has continued. Expecting something much better for Black Friday and if Google stock remains down it may be a motivation to lower the price.
Another option is the LG G7 phone that had a similar net price. The Pixel 3 has a better camera (results of software processing) but no add on memory card and it can not be used on a CDMA network such as Verizon. The G7 has the add-on memory card, multi lens options, higher pixel count sensor, and other options including both CDMA and CDA radios so the phone has fewer carrier limitations and should work on most US based carries.

It's not the same deal - the previous one did not require 60 days before getting credit, they only required 30 days. And they did not require porting over an existing number, any new account was sufficient. This new deal makes it a bit harder to "cheat" by just getting a new number for 30 days and cancelling it.

Nope the first deal ended a little while ago and came back just today with somewhat worse terms and conditions that seem to be aimed at discouraging flipping the second phone. I agree Black Friday may have a better deal, but hard to guess what that might be and how it's better than $800

Will you get credited the full amount on your fi account at once, or monthly

This is a flagship phone that was just released. They tightened up the deal and there's slim to no chance of seeing a better one on Black Friday (though the Black Friday deal is basically the same as the currently running "buy one, get one half price" deal from the google store but you don't need to buy 2). There won't even be an improvement on the buy one get one half off that the Google store is running.
