Yousician has a Black Friday sale for their music learning app. I just picked up Guitar and Piano and it has made the learning process a lot more fun. Until the 27th they are offering 50% off a yearly subscription for Premium+ for all 5 instruments: Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Piano, and Vocals. Simply Piano and Flow Key come up in at higher price for just a single instrument.

I don't play other instruments, but I do not recommend this to anyone trying to learn guitar.

Any particular reason why? Is it comparable to Rock Smith, meaning the learning style doesn't translate well to actually playing.

Yes.. It's basically a fancier version of guitar pro. You can just look at the screen and play along but that's it.

I've used Rocksmith, Yousician, books, youtube, and an in-person instructor.

I've stuck with Yousician to improve fluidity and Rocksmith to learn songs.

Note that Yousician premium sucks for the $$ as they are very few premium songs and searching is pretty poor.

Thanks for this! I meant to do the BF deal from an email but missed the midnight deadline. This deal was still good for me though.
