I have been tracking this on camelcamelcamel now for awhile as we are buying this as a gift for a couple people and it reached it's lowest price ever today. We have been reading this to our 8 year old for awhile, and our 17 year old wants a set of these books also.

Previous lowest price was $64.61

The Tales of Beedle the Bard was released in October. I haven't seen any news about the other HP books. I'd probably wait if I were you unless Amazon runs great deals like last year.

I know it takes time to create the art, layout, and proof- and probably needs Rowlings approval as well- and she's been busy- but I am starting to have my doubts there will be anymore, as it has been a year and no even a word on #4.
Sales profits may not have met projections vs production costs.

Sales may not have met production cost estimates.
I read that they expanded the deadline since the books are getting longer, and it's probably going to be fall 2019.

Book 4 will be released in 2019. The books are so big they need more time for the artist to complete each book, but he is already contracted to finish the series. They've used different artists for The Tales of Beedle the Bard, Fantastic Creatures and The History of Magic to fill in the gaps between the release of the illustrated books. I'm just hoping we get another $6-$12 sale price for book 1 or any of the others.

Were the $6.80 and $12.69 deals posted on this site (front page?) or is there some technique to finding Harry Potter book deals? I think $13 is the most I'd pay for a hardcover illustrated book, but even $13 is really expensive for a book (far more than it costs to buy each movie on Bluray). I'd feel better paying somewhere around $6.80.

I know someone who would like to read all the Harry Potter books and I'd like to know where to look to find reasonable deals on them over the next year. Paperback without illustrations or e-books would be OK too, but I'm not going for that Ebooks Prime $10 deal for all Harry Potter books deal which sounds like a scam:

They usually do hit frontpage at that price but you can always set a deal alert on SD. Use keyword "harry potter illustrated". Also, I did buy them cheap but you have to look at the book to see why they cost higher and IMO, the books are totally worth it even for $25 (the usual price). The quality is top notch, so is the art work. The reason why I can wait on a deal is I read the books and heard the audibles several times and the only reason I buy these is to collect (and may be read them to my kids someday).
